914/6 GT

Porsche 914/6 GT racing car in IMSA GTU specification. 1970: sold new in the USA as a 914/4 road car. 1972: converted to a race car and raced in countless SCCA events. 2005: completely rebuilt to 914/6 GT IMSA GTU by specialists Aircooled Racing (all pictures available). Raced in USA historic events (SVRA, HSR and VRG); pole positions, fastest laps and race wins. Engine work includes JE pistons, Carrillo rods, Nickies, Porsche 906 cams, 46mm Webers, etc. Features lightened flywheel, Sachs clutch kit, custom geared 901 transmission, 930 axles, etc. Fitted (as in period) with 7x15 Fuchs (front) and 9x15 Minilites (rear). Spares: 4 vintage Cibié lights, 2 Fuchs fronts, 2 Minilites rears, 901 gearbox, 2 types of exhausts. Offered for sale in ready-to-race condition.
