Porsche 996 GT3 / 4.2 litre 480 HP / Trackconversion

This is a GT3 modified by Koro Engineering.

The car is based on a standard Porsche 996 GT3 Clubsport.

The engine displacement has been increased to 4.2 litres, producing a verified 480 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The top speed is approximately 320 km/h (199 mph).

The vehicle is equipped with a Manthey-developed sports exhaust system and genuine BBS Le Mans three-piece alloy wheels.

The braking system is the original Porsche setup with 350 mm brakes from the 996 GT3 Mk2, additionally fitted with a brake booster and stainless-steel braided brake lines.

As in the GT3 Cup series, fuel injection is controlled via an Alpha-N engine management system.

The car’s steering column has been extended by approximately 15 cm, ensuring an optimal driving position in the original Porsche GT3 bucket seats.

To allow for faster gear changes, a short-shift mechanism has been installed. The vehicle is also equipped with a battery/master electrical cut-off switch, which can be operated from both inside and outside the car.

As can be seen in the pictures, the modifications are not limited to the engine and mechanical components; the exterior has also undergone significant changes.

The entire front end has been converted to the design of the succeeding 997 generation. Both the front bonnet, finished in clear coat, and the engine cover, painted in the body colour, are made from Kevlar-reinforced carbon fibre and secured using quick-release fasteners.
