The Maserati GranTurismo MC GT3 was built by Maserati Racing in Coorperation with Swiss Team for international GT Races. Only 3 cars were ever built and used by drivers like current Ferrari Works Driver and Le Mans overall winner Alessandro Pier Guidi who won the last race in its first year of racing. The cars have been highly developed and only stopped as Ferrari took the budget to develop the 458 GT3.

This chassis was driven by Mauro Calamia in the GT Open racing series with starting nr. 33.

The car was developed using a Trofeo Chassis and engine. The chassis was lightend and the tank was moved from the rear to the rear seats. The suspension was upgraded from the Trofeo version by using Aluminium instead of steel parts. A wider track was also applied. The engine is controlled by a Motec M800 ECU. The whole body of the car is made of carbon fiber which results in a overall weight of only 1230kg.

Swiss team is a well known Maserati Expert who used to race Quattroporte Race cars in the Italian Superstars Series and won the championship with Andrea Bertolini.
