For sale is a rare and professionally rebuilt 1973 Ford Capri Group 2 – a historic vehicle steeped in motorsport history and featuring an extensive accessories package.

Vehicle History & Build
This Ford Capri was originally built for racing by a Ford dealer in Hamburg and used in motorsports for several years. In the 1980s, it was temporarily converted back to road legal. The current owner acquired the vehicle in 1997 in this roadworthy condition.

In collaboration with renowned Capri specialist Antonio DiLena, it was later converted back to (almost) original Group 2 racing trim. This included installing a rebuilt 2.8-liter racing engine with approximately 220 hp and an original Ford 5-speed transmission. The build was carried out and coordinated by Autoelite in Fiorano Modenese.

Condition & Maintenance
The restoration was carried out by the renowned motorsport workshop AUTOELITE in Fiorano Modenese (near Modena), a specialist with roots in the racing department of DeTomaso. The Capri was rebuilt from the ground up, bare-metal, and only serviced at a few locations. Track days in Monza, Mugello, Misano, and Varano – a total of approximately 300 km since rebuilding. The car is accident-free and has been in the current owner's possession since 1995.
